Perhaps we can have another "class night out" sometime in February??? Maybe we could head to Bangor this time in hopes a few more people could participate? Any ideas?
Thursday, January 19, 2006
Well, there are still a lot of you that haven't posted anything, so I'll just encourage you to do so, and I'll pose a question to encourage your participation. I call this the Blog Poll.
Blog Poll: Are you where you thought you'd be in life? and explain if you'd like to.
My answer is no, I am not, but then I never really had an overall plan now, did I. I thought I'd end up in politics someplace, and I was really involved when I lived in Portland amongst all those Brennan's. Still I have a pretty great life overall. One of the best parts of my life now is that I don't have to drive anyplace to go to work and I can take all the coffee breaks I want.

PVHS Class of 86 Reunion
I had a great time last night getting together with everyone! To everyone that couldn't make it: I suggest trying harder to join us next time, as we'll just talk about you if you're not there! ha ha
Some things were said last night that have made me smile all day! For example:
"My sixth grade teacher has a better ass than you!"
"Do you know that you called Brianne's mom?"
"Roll down the window so I can spit this out!"
I learned a lot last night as well. Like how a bunch of you cheated on the bio exam (Lisa S and I did not however!)!!! And also our science fair winners were not exactly deserving!!
How the heck was Ronnie Plourde the only one to get carded, and he is older than all of us???
As you can all tell, a good time was had by all! Next time, I WILL NOT be designated driver! I think I heard Craig volunteer for next time, though! :)
KEEP IN TOUCH!
Lisa Libby
Well, I'd say, overall, we had a pretty good time wouldn't you? Lisa Li, Lisa Ly, Lisa S, Heidi and Ron, John and Rachael and Craig all made it. We had a lot of fun looking at the yearbook and catching up. Sadly no one sang karaoke, but maybe next time, eh guys? I look forward to next time......picture will be posted at some point....

Kim and Hal have reserved the Legion Hall in Howland, for the evening of July 22. It's good to know that's all confirmed. Thanks!! Do we still have a class treasurer? Please let us know, Heidi, who we should send donations to.

Also, I'm pretty much online all day, so you can instant message me if you're having troubles getting the thing to work...I think I sent you my im id's in my initial email.

You guys should probably all change your passwords after you get up and running. Also, I've tried to put everyone's account profiles so they're NOT viewable, you can chage that as well. When you login just click "Edit Profile".

Shooters?!?!!
Could ANYONE make it Friday instead of Saturday? Lisa S. has a prior committment Saturday night.
I've been trying to get a hold of Lisa S., who will be home this weekend, though I haven't had much like. I'll keep trying, however. Heidi suggested getting together at Shooters Saturday night, which I'm ALL for. Please come if you're up for it. I'll post on Saturday, if we come up with any kind of real plan!
Also, if you have anyone's email address who you think would be interested in this site - please send it to me so I can include them.
Couples from High School
I was thinking today that we had a lot of couples in our class! We had Kim and Hal, Kim and Troy, and Helen and Bruce (although I believe Helen and Bruce are no longer together....) Were there anymore? Keith and I began dating my senior year. Heidi started dating Ron Freshman year. Lisa Dube started dating Joey in 8th grade, and they are still going strong! Anyone know of any other couples from our class that began in high school and are still together? Didn't Sharon Sellars marry her high school sweetheart? What about Tammy Darling?

I am living back in Burlington, with my husband John and two children Madeline
(10) and Isaiah (8). I can't believe I'm back here, but for the most part, we like it pretty well. We certainly enjoy the quiet.
My husband is a mechanical engineer and works for himself, at home. He does mechanical and electrical design. I work for him part time. He is from Pembroke, ME and we've been married 12 years now. In our spare time we go camping and canoeing, read (we're WAY into American History right now) and watch a lot of football (go Pat's). We follow the Virginia Tech Hokies quite a avidly, as that's where he went to
College after Maine. We live pretty simply, enjoy our families and friends, don't do a lot of traveling or anything like that. We play a little chess and poker.
Our daughter is pretty outgoing and friendly after you get the ice broken, she's an avid reader and really good to her little brother. She's taking piano lessons and right now, she wants to be a movie star or something when she grows up. I took her to her first concert this year (Kelly Clarkson) with her best friend. We spent the night in Portland, went out to dinner and all that. It was pretty fun, actually, despite not being my type of music at all. I'll have to say that it was all because of Kathy and Earl though, because I'll never forget how cool I thought they were for taking Lisa and I to Bryan Adams in Augusta way back when.
My son more shy and serious, he loves to build and play games (he's playing chess now, and can beat me occasionally, he always beats me at checkers, much to my dismay). Right now he's pretty interested in all things electrical and is learning the basics of how it works. We're thrilled, of course, and hope he'll be an electrical engineer so we can expand the business when he's 12 (just kidding folks). Anyway, I marvel at the both of them every day. I'm amazed with most children anyway. I guess. I can't believe how clever they are. I really enjoy them more the older they get, I hope it stays this way.
We live in, basically, a run down shack! But we're building a new home we hope to have done by next winter. We only bought this place because it was really inexpensive and on a beautiful piece of land. Our new house will be right on this lot. We designing and building the whole thing ourselves so progress is slow, and we have to fit it in between jobs, but it's fun and we're really enjoying the process. You can watch our progress at http://mooresroadhouse.blogspot.com though there won't be ANY progress until spring.
Those of you who are contacting people, please go ahead and email me the contact information you get, I'll put everything together in one place for us.
Thanks
(I have two left, and may have a lead on Thorsten, if you need it Heidi)
PVHS Class of 86 Reunion
PVHS Class of 86 Reunion Hi Everyone! I am so excited to be reconnecting with you guys! It really doesn't seem possible that TWENTY years has gone by, does it??? I hope everyone can make it to the reunion this summer.
How about everyone posts what they've been up to? As for me, I have been married to Keith for almost 18 years (well, except for that small divorce we had that only lasted a few months and we remarried...so we don't count that! LOL) We have lived in Dover-Foxcroft for 12 years, and he runs our local McDonald's. I have owned and operated a daycare in our home for almost 10 years now. We have two children, Brianne who is 16 and a junior in high school, and Griffin who is 10 and a 5th grader. They are great kids, and we have so much fun together!
Rachel, treasure those times with your young daughter, going to concerts! I brought Brianne and a friend to see Hanson in concert in New Hampshire when she was ten........but she went to see Kelly Clarkson this year with a car full of her friends!!! I hate the thought of her leaving for college in a year and a half......she plans to study Psychology someplace in New England, but most likely not Maine. She is a cheerleader at FA, and she competes in pageants. Her most recent was Miss Maine Teen USA this past fall, and she made the top 15. She is working for her father at McDonalds, which is working out quite nicely! She loves designer purses, Abercrombie clothes, and shoes with heels (she is only five feet tall!)
Griffin is such a great kid! He plays the drums in the school band, and enjoys all sports! His Dad has been coaching his baseball and basketball teams through the YMCA for the past several years. He also plays soccer throught the Y, but might try out for football next year instead. He excells at sports, so this is most likely his last year with the YMCA, as next year he can try out for the Sedomocha teams. He loves rap music, sports, and playstation!
Keith and I enjoy gambling at Foxwoods when we can get away. We play a lot of racquetball together, too. (He plays left handed and STILL kicks my butt.........but oh well, it's a good workout!)
I hope you all take a few minutes to post some stuff about your families and what you have been up to!
If anyone wants to email me, my address is lisalibby2004@yahoo.com. Hope to hear from you!

using blogger...
Once you have an account, you don't have to use "comments" any longer. If you look at the top of the screen to the blue bar you'll see the words "blog this" if you click there and use the pop-up box for your posts, it might be easier for everyone to follow the posts more easily. Good luck!
Thanks so much to Heidi for hosting this morning.
I've set you up Heidi, so go ahead and try to post, just so I'll know you have it working. ...even if you just say Hello!
The rest of you...I'm working on it!!! Anyway, we've set the weekend of July 22 as reunion weekend. Kim (H.) W. is looking into the American Legion in Howland to see if we can use that Saturday night. So far the plans are for an early family get together at Morgan's beach around 11 Saturday morning, then adults only at the Legion Hall in the Evening. Please contact one of us so we can keep you updated as to what's going on.
We decided to go pretty casual for this reunion - where our treasury is lacking in funds, so the picnic will be "bring your own picnic". In the evening it will be b.y.o.b. and if you feel like bringing a snack or appetizer it would be appreciated. We're looking into hiring a dj.
We've split the class list and will be attempting to contact everyone, please let us know if there is anyone you're in touch with just to make the job easier.
Thanks, and it was really good to see everyone this morning!
